Education talk by Prof. Po-Shen Loh | AI Or Us?: A Blueprint For Next Generation Success
As artificial intelligence rapidly transforms education and the workforce, traditional definitions of success—GPA, test scores, even technical skills—are no longer enough. When machines can ace exams and write code, what will truly set students apart?
Join us on Monday, Dec 8 at 6:30 PM at OSSM for a thought-provoking talk by Po-Shen Loh, Carnegie Mellon professor and former national coach of the USA Math Olympiad team. Drawing on his experiences from visiting over 100 cities and engaging with families worldwide, he will explore:
· Why academic excellence alone no longer guarantees college admission
· What truly human skills will matter most—and how to develop them early
· Practical steps students can take today, starting in elementary or middle school, to thrive in the AI era
Date & Time: Monday, Dec 8, 6:30 PM
Location: Oklahoma School of Sci & Mathematics
